Eamon Sprod - AKA tarab, Eamon explores re-contextualised collected sounds and tactile gestures formed into dynamic, psycho-geographical compositions inspired by discarded things, found things, crawling around in the dirt, junk, the ground, rocks, dust, wind, walking aimlessly, scratchy things, decay and most if not all the things he hears and sees. More than simply documenting a given site, tarab is interested in a direct engagement with our surrounds, teasing out half narratives, visceral sensation, false leads and heightened awareness. http://tarab3058.com/
Simon Whetham - Simon has developed a practice of working with sound recordings as a raw material for composition. These are often environmental sounds he has captured employing a variety of methods and techniques, in order to obtain discrete or obscured sonic phenomena. Visiting from the UK for a project in Castlemaine, this is Simon's only Melbourne performance. http://
Cameron Robbins - Cameron's work is based on interaction with natural forces and the elements. He creates structural devices such as wind or ocean-powered mechanical systems, site-specific installations, wind drawings, photographs and sound compositions. Clinton Green - Clinton is an experimental musician currently working with arse-about approaches to turntables. He is also an researcher and writer interested in the history of Australian experimental music. At Elemental, he will perform a new work that incorporates the four classical elements of earth, fire, water and air. http://
Donkey Muthers of Arse - DMOA struggles with the primal guttural catharsis of otherworldly origins into a modern and ever-changing world. Coming from the truly primal beginnings of expression and the creative urge, Donkey Muthers of Arse have been around since the creation of the earth (or as some may say, just last year). Its the ongoing battle of the organic/inorganic synthesis.
