This Tuesday at the Make It Up Club we venture once again into the
world of the whack, the sphere of the smack and the realm of musical
reconnaissance via percussive resonance and inventive sonic
objectification. Tony Buck may be best known for dripping aural bliss in The Necks,
but his solo performances impart a much more urgent and multifaceted
approach to (a)rhythmic sound production that should be witnessed by all
lovers of improv. Dudes with Trowels present a
rarefied exhibition of their toy-heavy junk-interventionist approach to
spontaneous audible creation with Special Honorary Dude Zak Pidd
bringing further everythingcore ruckus. And weirdcore trio No Fuckwit assimilates DIY mastermind Rod Cooper
to gang up on the term 'homemade instrument', transporting listeners to
an eldritch region of the sonoverse where habitation is bunk and new
sounds are superabundant.
