Tuesday June 4th @ the Make It Up Club

This Tuesday at MIUC we offer a method of dealing with the viscera of the oncoming age of post-humanity: through deep listening and attentive engagement with audial terrorists. Shane van den Akker launches his first solo voice recording by giving a half-hour guided tour of the phenomenological minutiae of air pressure on the mucous membrane stretched horizontally across his larynx. Complexe lull their audience-prey into a false sense of security with warm electronic drones, never revealing their true intention of increasing the sonic heat ever so slowly that, much like the frog in the pot, listeners have no idea they are eventually boiling in noise. And the frenetic anti-virtuoso-as-godhead approach of Heilsgeschichte is a natural conclusion for those who choose to read Hunter S. Thompson as a theological history of salvation, and makes for a brilliant soundtrack for the same.
