This week at Make It Up Club local sonic genius/visual genius Nathan Gray curates his vision of Cornelius Cardew's Scratch Orchestra,
defined by Cardew in their draft constitution as ''a large number of
enthusiasts pooling their resources (not primarily material resources)
and assembling for action (music-making, performance, edification).''
Basically what this means is Gray has been kind enough to gather a heap
of Melbourne's amazingest sonic/visual artists to read off some paper -
in this particular instance James Tenney's Swell 1 & 2 - and perform and allow you to bask in the glory that is improvised music (etc.)
