New-music mavericks, Bang On A Can borrow freely from jazz, pop, rock and classical traditions to produce sounds that are undeniably their own. In 1992, Bang on a Can All-Stars formed as a collective, united in their mission to redefine the global music scene.
Over the past 25 years they've worked with everyone from Ornette Coleman to Steve Reich.
Using film, archival audio and video in an Australian Exclusive and Premiere, Field Recordings bridges the seen and the unseen, the present and the absent, today and the past in nine new compositions by visionaries such as Christian Marclay (video artist/creator of 24-hour film The Clock) that explore what would happen if composers ventured into the field of everyday life and captured sounds to challenge their music.

Breathing warmth into Brian Eno’s acclaimed ambient soundscapes, Music For Airports is the epic interpretation of Eno’s iconic album of the same name. Inspired by a lay-over at Cologne Bonn Airport, Eno's album is both tranquil and transitory.
