Tuesday August 21st @ the Make It Up Club

This week: Joel Stern, Brisbane’s master of all things sonically visual, joins Tarquin Manek, Melbourne’s master of all things sonically absurd, in their new project, Baked Light. An exciting new collaboration between James Bowers, Gareth Thomson and Nic Lam exploring rock-driven, gritty free improvisation with an emphasis on texture and rhythmic layering. And the long overdue return of MV, with her signature focus on transforming microscopic sound into a sonic behemoth.

Baked Light (Bris/Mel) featuring: Joel Stern (a/v ) and Tarquin Manek (clarinet, voice, percussion, micro cassettes, amplifier and fry pan guitar )
James Bowers (rhodes), Gareth Thomson (drums) and Nic Lam (guitar)
