Shame File Music - new catalogue additions

New items on the Shame File Music catalogue:

Sean Baxter "Metal/Flesh" 7" Adjunct to Baxter's landmark LP, these two pieces showcase his skill and precision in playing percussion with metal objects and bare hands respectively. These records were slightly warped on the long freight trip from Poland to Australia. They play without fault on the Shame File turntable, but are offered at this discounted price to compensate for this fault - AU$9.50ppd

Robin Fox "More Impossible Futures" 7" Melbourne sound art supremo offers two compositions composed exclusively on the classic EMS VCS3 analogue synthesiser, sounding like the golden age of electronic music but maintaining a modern compositional edge These records were slightly warped on the long freight trip from Poland to Australia. They play without fault on the Shame File turntable, but are offered at this discounted price to compensate for this fault - AU$9.50ppd

Pimmon/Yclept Dinmakers cassette - The Pimmon side is a live recording from 2005, dispalying his trademark ever-moving layerings of electronics and samples, including electric guitar on this occasion. The Yclept Dinmakers side is a 1983 (their first release since several cassettes in the early 1980s) live-to-tape collage made from various loops generated from tape, cassette and turntables. - AU$8ppd

Paul Kidney Experience with Mani Neumeier CD - Mind melting psychedelic mayhem unfolds across this 4 track album featuring the drumming prowess of 70’s Kraut Rock legend Mani Neumeier of Guru Guru. Recorded live at 3PBS radio station in Melbourne this improvised set is full to the brim with frenetic riffage overlaid with the banshee like howlings from the high priest of musical carnage Paul Kidney. Although inspiration may well have derived from the likes of Sun Ra, Coltrane, or The Stooges this album (as with all P.K.E. releases) often seems peerless and from another dimension altogether. AU$12ppd

BACK IN STOCK Jerome Noetinger/Will Guthrie "Face Off"CD - French improv/experimental masters (Guthrie is a Melbourne expat, and Noetinger a frequent and cherished visitor) conjure an concise suite of exciting and tension-filled improvisations, combining Guthrie's exquisite percussion and Noetinger's virtuosic use of Revox. This is exciting, edge-of-your-seat experimental music. AU$22ppd
