Tuesday September 21st @ the Make It Up Club

Peon is a new collaboration comprising 2 of Melbourne's maverick, contemporary jazz drummers: Ronny Ferella (the creative force behind IshIsh), and Sam Price (perhaps best known for his work in Prod with Scott Tinkler). Combining digital and analogue realtime processing, with traditional instruments, voice and acoustic drumkits, the duo traverse the soundwaves of free improv and joyful noise. Visual artist, and avant-saxophonist, David Palliser makes a rare performance heralding some soon-to-be released solo material. And three of the most exciting emerging improvisers exploring abrstraction, extended technique and fractured rhythms.

Peon featuring: Sam Price (drums, dsi tetra, vox & supercollider) and Ronny Ferella (drums, ngoni, farfisa, vox & analogue processing)

David Palliser (alto saxophone)

Jon Heilbron (contra bass), Ida Dueland (contra bass) and James McLean (drumkit)
